Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join our team. This role involves coordinating drivers for our aggregate services, taking orders, and learning about aggregate, gravel, and sand products. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in aggregate operations and will be able to manage logistics efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take orders for aggregate, gravel, and sand, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Dispatch and assist with scheduling drivers for aggregate deliveries.
- Learn about the different types of aggregate, gravel, and sand we provide to better serve our customers and optimize logistics.
- Ensure trucks are inspected and maintained, including proper documentation for pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Communicate maintenance needs to the maintenance/shop supervisor.
- Monitor personnel and equipment locations to coordinate schedules effectively.
- Manage work schedules for drivers, ensuring accountability for clocking in and out.
- Address customer inquiries, problems, or requests for materials, services, or equipment in a timely and professional manner.
- Oversee the safe and efficient operation of aggregate trucks.
- Conduct accident investigations and prepare reports as needed.
- Provide accountability and remedial training for drivers as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in Ruach Resources vehicles and facilities.
- Assist with other operational and administrative duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Ability to learn the Jonel dispatch system and Coretex tracking system.
- Strong leadership and management skills, including strategic thinking, resource allocation, and team coordination.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and government regulations.
- Excellent conflict resolution, active listening, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Willingness to learn about different aggregate, gravel, and sand products.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to sit, talk, or hear.
- Frequently required to use repetitive hand motions, handle or feel objects, and to stand, walk, reach, bend, or lift up to 20 pounds.
Work Schedule:
- 3 weeks on, 1 week off rotation.
Compensation:
- Pay DOE (Depends on Experience)
