As a Co-op in our Mechanical Department you will gain a basic understanding of the duties of a Project Manager / Estimator and observe the construction process in the field and office. You will have the opportunity to shadow a Project Manager during a project and participate in the following activities :
Safety
- GEM safety orientation
- Jobsite audits
- Customer / Site-specific training
Administrative Items
Proposal Phase
Costing
Project Meetings
Subcontractor Management
You will also gain an understanding of how the office, field, fab-shop and CAD departments team up to complete a successful project by spending time with a mentor as well as spending time in each department learning how it works.
Valid Driver's License required.
