Furniture Sales and Design Associate

Rug & Home is a leading high-growth home furnishings retailer with (5) locations across the Carolina's. Our mission is to provide a full-service home furnishings solution in a professionally designed showroom space. Rug & Home has been featured in numerous local and national publications, including Southern Living, Entrepreneur’s “6th Annual Hot 100: America’s Fastest-Growing New Businesses," and was named the 2005 National Rug Retailer of the Year.

We are immediately seeking a Sales and Design Associate to be responsible for all sales jobs duties, from generating leads to closing sales, at our Asheville Location. This is a full time position. WEEKENDS REQUIRED.

Design Associate responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer questions about product and recommend the right solutions. To be successful in this role, you should stay up-to-date with product features and maintain our store’s visual appearance to the highest standards.

Ultimately, the duties of the Design Associate are to achieve excellent customer service, while consistently meeting personal sales goals.

Responsibilities:

· Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service

· Assess customers’ needs and provide assistance and information on product features

· Welcome customers to the store and answer their questions

· Follow and achieve personal sales goals on a monthly basis

· “Go the extra mile” to drive sales

· Maintain presentable conditions in assigned areas

· Actively assist customers in the store

· Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options

· Remain knowledgeable on POS processes

· Cross sell products

· Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service

· Build productive relationships with customers

· Comply with inventory control procedures

· Suggest ways to improve sales

Qualifications and Skills:

· Proven experience as a Sales Associate or similar role

· Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices

· Basic Math Skills

· Proficiency in English

· Working knowledge of customer dynamics and requirements

· Track record of over-achieving sales quotas

· Solid communication and interpersonal skills

· A friendly and energetic personality with customer focus

· Ability to perform under pressure

· Ability to multi-task and handle multiple customer at once, as needed

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to be up and walking around a majority of the time

Work Hours:

This is a full time position that requires weekends.

WEEKENDS ARE REQUIRED.

COMPENSATION:

Guaranteed Hourly plus monthly commission incentive.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $28.00 per hour
