What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bar Back position at Running Y Properties?
This position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience when dining at the resort. Bar Backs are responsible for positive guest interactions while assisting the bartender in serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
Bar Back
General Responsibilities
Prepares the condiments needed to prepare drinks and performs all other preparation tasks.
Staying updated on current bar choices, including drink specials, beer and wind selections.
Assist in preparing mixed drinks for service to bar guests and for other servers' tables as the orders are placed.
Assisting with special events as needed.
Assist Bartender with all duties as requested, including, but not limited to:
Check ID of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
Take beverage orders from serving staff or customers seated at the bar
Properly store and secure alcohol at the end of each shift
Restock bar with service items.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
Previous bartending experience desired.
Previous restaurant service required
Excellent oral communication skills required.
Positive interpersonal skills required.
Must speak English fluently and be able to write basic English.
Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure.
Ability to read cocktail recipes out of a recipe book and mix them accordingly.
License/Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Oregon Food Handlers Card
OLCC Certification
Valid Oregon Driver's License
