What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Personal Trainer/Healthplex position at RUSH Copley Medical Center?
Responsible for helping current and prospective clients achieve their goals for physical fitness. Their duties include planning and supervising workout regimens, coaching clients on their form during exercise and tracking fitness and performance goals over time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule and train personal training clientele in a safe, productive and specific manner.
- Perform a complete review of the client’s health history.
- Determine clientele’s short- and long-term personal training goals and present options to support these goals.
- Attend all department staff meetings.
- Work fitness floor shifts as scheduled/required
- Provide basic equipment orientation
- Check the safety and maintenance of equipment regularly and reports any issues to Fitness Director.
- Demonstrate how to use equipment properly and safely.
Position Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in an exercise related field, or a National Fitness Trainer Certification with one or more of the following accredited professional certification organizations: ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NCSA, ISSA, NASM, AEA or similar.
- Must obtain current CPR/EAD certification within 30 days of employment
$23.56 - $35.34 Hourly
