Pay Range: 34.61 - 58.14

Summary:
The Systems Engineer supports the planning and engineering of Rush’s servers, storage, and infrastructure systems both on premise and in the cloud. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Communicate with co-workers, internal analysts, and external vendors to research problems and find solutions.
2. Design, build, and continually improve all facets of Active Directory, to include OU structure, security, permissions, and group policy.
3. Evaluate, design, and build new servers and systems in both cloud and on-premise environments.
4. Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
5. Perform advanced scripting to automate common tasks (patching, reporting, account creation, etc.).
6. Perform periodic analysis of server and system infrastructure to support capacity planning.
7. Manage and adhere to all facets of the Change Management Process when making changes to infrastructure systems.
8. Create all documentation regarding installation, configuration procedures, system documentation, and Standard Operation Manual (SOM).
9. Work on various on-going technology projects as assigned.
10. Provide Tier 3 support and handle escalations from Service Desk and other support teams.
11. Participate in, and when requested lead, all efforts related to audits and compliance.
12. Provide afterhours support (on call) on a rotating schedule.
13. Travel to other Eyecare Partners facilities, when deemed necessary by IT management.
14. Assists with other duties as directed by management.
