What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Administrator position at Russell Stover Chocolates?
The Payroll Administrator will have co-responsibility for preparing and processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll and related processes for Russell Stover Chocolates and Lindt & Sprüngli North America. This role will report to the Director Human Resources.

Key responsibilities include:
- Administer the multi-state payroll activities in accordance with Company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
- Calculate and process all payroll adjustments, deductions, earnings and garnishments
- Process manual checks for situations such as terminations and discrepancies
- Research and resolve questions from managers and employees as they relate to the processing of payroll information
- Compiles, generates, and/or analyzes payroll data as required for new hire/termination reports, payroll tax reporting, insurance deductions, 401(k) contributions, worker’s compensation reporting, total compensation statements, any ad hoc requests
- Monitors and stays apprised of current laws governing payroll, minimum wage, overtime, leave of absence, and sick time
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience processing payroll
- Experience processing multi state payroll
- Experience using payroll software
- 3 years of experience processing payroll
- ADP or Workday experience
- Highly detail oriented and organized in work
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Has excellent critical thinking as well as analytical skills
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
