Contract Length: 3- Month Contract, W2
Location: 55 Water Street, Manhattan, NY 10038 (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $32-36/hr (W2)
Schedule: 40 hours/week (Standard Business Hours)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design commercial and brand-aligned accessories based on seasonal strategy and conceptual direction.
- Develop product with a strong balance of style, function, and material quality.
- Deliver design execution with a high level of accuracy and agility.
- Create and adapt design sketches and prototypes; finalize specifications.
- Present designs in internal reviews and cross-functional team meetings using digital decks and physical samples.
- Stay current with customer needs, fashion trends, and market analysis to inform designs.
- Conduct competitor research and trend forecasting for innovation and inspiration.
- Collaborate closely with Merchandising and Product Development teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of design experience, ideally within a retail/fashion accessories environment.
- Strong design portfolio showcasing commercial fashion sensibility and attention to product detail.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Experience with Centric PLM is a plus.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Strong sense of initiative, professionalism, and adaptability.
