Test Technician - Environmental Test Chambers

Test Technician.

1st shift position with a schedule of 5:30am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday. Additional overtime is optional in most situations. Saturdays are rarely worked

Responsibilities:

• Perform initial startup, troubleshooting and documentation of new test chambers.
• Set up instrumentation such as controllers, data acquisition, etc.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate various operating systems of refrigeration, electronics, and electro-mechanical components utilizing prints and schematics.
• May travel to customer locations for startups or repairs.
• Establish, maintain, and develop positive relationships with customers.
• May perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• EPA 608 universal refrigeration certification is preferred.
• Refrigeration/HVAC education or experience is preferred.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read electrical and refrigeration schematics.
• Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, and test instruments.
• Have a working knowledge/understanding of single stage and cascade refrigeration systems.
• Excellent communication skills to be able to interact with customers and co-workers in a professional manner.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability/willingness to travel if needed.
• Frequent moderate physical exertion—including lifting, climbing, bending, and carrying of objects up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to climb a ladder with heavy objects
• Valid Driver’s License
