What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Alarm Service Technician position at Rustic Fire Protection?
Duties:
- FACP plug outs
- Quarterly and annual fire alarm inspections
- CCTV experience is preferred but not required
- Install and program alarm systems in commercial properties
- Fire alarm service calls, quoted work, troubleshooting and repairs
- Conduct site surveys to assess the best locations for alarm system installation
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on alarm systems to ensure proper functionality
- Test and inspect alarm systems to ensure they meet industry standards and regulations
Experience:
- Minimum knowledge of Fire-Lite
- Strong knowledge of hand tools and their proper usage
- Previous experience as an Alarm Technician or in a related field is preferred
Licenses:
- Massachusetts A, B, or D Electrical License is required
- Rhode Island Journeyman License, AF or BF License is preferred but not required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service
- Ability to work in confined spaces if necessary
- 21 years of age in order to operate company vehicle
- Must possess a valid, clean Driver's license in good standing
- Ability to transport equipment and tools weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Experience servicing fire alarm, access control, camera systems and security
- Experience with with ladders, scaffolding and high-lift equipment up to 30 feet
- Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs

Rustic Fire Protection is family owned and operated. We have been in business for over forty years. Our service department consists of two divisions; Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler. We currently service thousands of properties within the MA. and RI. region and are continuing to expand.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge and the ability to work independently and within a team setting when necessary. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with clients, field technicians and office staff.
