Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing InstructorStafford Technical Center offers fourteen full-day technical education programs, each of which offers college credits or industry certifications to students as part of their high school education. Students are prepared for higher education and/or entry into business and industry. Stafford Technical Center has an anticipated Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing Instructor opening beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.We are seeking a candidate who is excited to build a strong foundational engineering community of learners in a high school setting. You will make a difference by helping to build our developing problem solvers of tomorrow.
The instructor will work with 10th 12th-grade students in a full-day format, which will include collaboration between industry leaders and postsecondary partners. The successful candidate will be provided with training in the engineering pathway of Project Lead the Way (PLTW). The courses included in our program are: Introduction to Engineering Design, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, and Principles of Engineering. PLTW Engineering empowers students to step into the role of an engineer, adopt a problem-solving mindset, and make the leap from dreamers to doers.
The programs courses engage students in compelling, real-world challenges that help them become better collaborators and thinkers. Students take from the courses in-demand knowledge and skills they will use in high school and for the rest of their lives, on any career path they take.The instructor should hold a minimum of a Bachelors degree in engineering, mathematics, or a related science and possess fundamental engineering knowledge with a minimum of 5 years of industry-related experience. Experience with CAD software (Fusion 360, Solidworks) and manual and/or CNC machining is desirable but not required.If you have a desire to learn, the ability to employ project-based learning, and a passion to prepare students with the skills to succeed in post-secondary education and beyond, please apply online at Schoolspring.com.
