Job Description

The primary goal of this position is to bring in new weddings and social events for Cypress Grove Estate House & Luxmore Grande Estate and to entertain & maintain relationships with new and existing clients, all while meeting {preferably exceeding 😉} revenue goals. 

Some things you'll do on the daily:
✔ Work with a kick-a** team
✔ Chat with the best clients and vendors {email, phone, and in-person}
✔ Learn all things weddings {and other events}
✔ Master time management

Job Description:

  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed sales and revenue goals through outside sales calls, telephone solicitation, site inspections and written communication
  • Follow all sales from the initial meeting through the signed contract
  • Meet with assigned event managers and banquet captain prior to each event to ensure all details are executed flawlessly
  • Achieve catering revenue and sales goals, develop markets and increase sales through initiating new business, retaining repeat business, contract negotiations, and follow-through
  • Be up-to-date on market trends and competition as it relates to the overall marketing strategy
  • Conduct site inspections for prospective clients
  • Work closely with event managers to assist in servicing clients through the event date and oversee post-event wrap-up with office administrator
  • Coordinate and communicate in writing with the team any necessary details for catered events including vendor orders, staffing levels, and specific menu information
  • Be familiar with a variety of catering concepts, practices, and procedures. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Complete monthly sales review highlighting all pending and booked events including revenue totals
  • Attend community/social events and industry networking events
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein

Qualifications

  • 2 years of wedding-related sales experience
  • BA or BS degree preferred
  • Fun and welcoming personality
  • Go-getter with a passion for providing stellar customer service 
  • Time management skills are a plus!
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal written
  • Computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Applications, Social Media Platforms, and Word Press 
  • Evening weekend availability is a MUST
  • Professional presence on Social Media
  • Must be willing to work in a team environment - introverts, this applies to you too!
