PROGRAM MANAGER
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree or master degree in business or related field.
- Proven experience in program management.
- Proven stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience managing a team.
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Understanding of project management and completing a PMP certification within two years.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.
- Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.
- Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; and implementing change.
- Creating and managing long-term goals.
- Developing a budget and operating plan for the program with the help of your supervisor.
- Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
- Managing a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
- Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance.
- Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure the statement of work and project goals are achieved.
- Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.
- Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout the contract life cycle.
- Analyzing contract risks and recommending solutions.
- Manage multiple contracts, ensuring deliverables are met; serve as primary POC to RWD clients
- Perform detailed review of assigned contracts, task orders and/or purchase orders
- Serve as SME regarding financial and performance deliverables as well as terms/conditions of assigned contracts
- Monitor contract burn rates and ensure timely submission of all invoices; review and manage subcontractor agreements to ensure compliance with contractual language and best interest of RWD
- Oversee and manage field/contract labor force- collect and approve timesheets for submission to payroll, review requests for time off, maintain schedules and leave balances for field/contract staff
- Conduct regular on-site visits to meet with clientele and RWD field/contract staff- 15-20% travel to contract work sites for regular meeting is expected
- Ensure labor force continuously meets policies/regulations and standards set forth by RWD and its clients
- Review and reconcile field/contract employee timesheets, take necessary action and submit for processing
- Provide superior customer service and professional interaction with clients, support staff and superiors
- Weekly spreadsheet updates saved on the shared drive indicating open positions, employee/client relations issues, timelines for work to be completed, dates of performance evaluations of employees, and any other nuances of the contract.
- Assistance with preparation of cost proposals for new jobs
