Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) required.
- Completion of cardio thoracic step down unit technician orientation modules/class/clinical
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Phlebotomy certification
Scheduling Requirements:
- Nights
- PT
Essential Functions:
- Operates and assists in the monitoring of a patient on the Cardio thoracic Step down Unit.
- Administers individualized, professional patient care through efficient knowledge and safe practice of cardio thoracic step down unit procedures.
- Assumes responsibility for patient care and monitoring before, during and after procedures under the direction and supervision of an RN.
- Executes special assignments with the unit assigned to them by the Nurse Manager/PCC/CC/RN.
