What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Clerk position at Rx Managers?
We are looking for compassionate individuals who are motivated to improving the patient experience at a pharmacy whose clientele include the underserved and underinsured. You would be working in a state of the art facility that’s as aesthetically pleasing as its surroundings.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Accurately and efficiently transcribing, and processing prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Assist in the dispensing and distribution of medications
Model and deliver exceptional customer service to patients and members of the medical community, cultivating a strong, positive working-relationship on behalf of the pharmacy
Aid the pharmacist in inventory and business supply management
Maintenance of pharmacy records
Must be able to perform the essential functions of a pharmacy clerk with or without reasonable accommodation.
Reconciliation of billing from third party payers
Any other duties related to the practice of pharmacy as deemed necessary by the pharmacist
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED.
Working knowledge of brand/generics, strength and dosage forms
Ability to read, understand and transcribe pharmaceutical and prescription information
Ability to become proficient in learning
Position starts as part time and per diem (as needed) and may transition to full time with an increase in prescription volume at the pharmacy
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
