As Press Brake Operator you are responsible for the setup and operation of our press brake machines to bend, fabricate, and form metal according to specifications.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines to produce parts per blueprints and work orders
- Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures
- Select proper tooling and ensure accurate machine settings for each job
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and job orders
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment and designated work area
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
Requirements
- Successfuly pass a skills-based assessment - evaluates your reading, math, inspections & measurement, attention to detail, and problem solving skills
- 1-2 years experience of press brake experience required
- Basic math skills including conversions
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Ability to adapt, multitask, and prioritize in an environment that is rapidly changing
- Ability to have high attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Succesful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of their onboarding
Wage: $25.19 - $27.99 hourly. A starting hourly wage higher than $25.19 is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
Hours: 2nd shift hours are Monday through Thursday 5pm to 3am
