As a CNC Machinist, you will set-up and operate CNC Mill Machines to produce highly precision

component parts that meet all quality standards.

Job Duties

• Set up and operate a variety of computer numeric controlled (CNC) machines and equipment, and machine parts from customer-stated specifications (e. g. blueprints, drawings)
• Checks to make sure that the material to be used meets all specifications
• Performs some programming and complex set-ups
• Makes all required adjustments to the machinery. Obtains tooling, gages, inserts and all other equipment needed to complete the set-up and brings up the program. Edits the program as necessary
• Insures that all manufactured parts are in full compliance to quality standards. Performs visual inspections (part relationship to operation sheet/blueprint configuration) on all parts produced and performs actual dimensional verification using measuring instruments as per the guidelines established by the department or the Quality Assurance Department
• Must be aware of, and work to, established set-up and part per hour run times, and part quality requirements as established on work orders
• Verifies and records actual part count, both prior to and upon completion of all work
• Moves the finished work to an assigned area. Enters all work performed in the database and documents all scrap
• Performs other machining and assembly operations as needed
• Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies
• Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time
  
  

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
• Must be able to read and write comments, understand operation sheets/blueprints, specifications, and all applicable Company/Customer paperwork
• Must be able to read and edit CNC Programs
• 3-5 plus years of increasingly diverse experience with CNC Machines in either a machine shop or CNC machining environment. Technical school training for CNC Machining, preferred
• Ability to work assigned hours plus overtime as needed
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift light to medium weight up to 50 lbs.
• May stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must have adequate sight to read blueprints
