As a Driller Assistant , under the supervision of a driller assists with basic geotechnical drilling operations. Expands knowledge of drilling methods including auger, mud rotary, and rock coring operations.

Assists in the transport of drill rigs and equipment. Will exhibit safety, quality workmanship, and integrity; be dependable;

and be open to working outdoors year-round. The ability to travel with paid hotels and per diem is part of this position's requirements.

Your Day-to-Day :

• Drilling Operations : Assist with routine drilling operations.
• Field Sampling : Log samples and complete field logs.
• Equipment Maintenance : Assist with vehicle and equipment maintenance to ensure good working conditions.
• Quality : Assure that all drilling functions, including quality control, quality assurance, and verification are performed following the standard drilling methods, project specifications, and other contract documents.

What You Bring :

• A High school diploma or GED
• A Commercial Driver License (CDL), a plus
• Effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language
• Knowledge and ability to perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance

Working Conditions and Physical Demands :

You are willing and able to perform the physical demands of this position with the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment such as :

• Working outdoors the majority of the time in varying weather conditions
• Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for potentially up to 12 hours a day
• Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs, (field / laboratory samples and equipment)
• Maneuvering field equipment safely, such as a loaded wheelbarrow, on uneven ground around active construction sites
