Work Authorization / Engagement:
Full-time- Rate: 75/hr W2 or 85/hr 1099/C2C
- Must report onsite at least on the first and last day of engagement for equipment inventory
Interview Requirements
- Vendor must provide candidate email address and phone number when accepting interview

Role Overview
The Enterprise Architect will lead enterprise-level architecture strategy, modernization efforts, and cloud solution design to support business objectives and citizen-focused services across the Commonwealth. This role serves as a trusted advisor, bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders while guiding modernization, integration, and governance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, publish, and maintain enterprise reference architectures and technology standards
- Lead modernization planning for legacy systems transitioning to cloud-native or hybrid architectures
- Architect and oversee secure integrations across platforms such as Azure, Salesforce, and Appian
- Design scalable, secure cloud solutions aligned with Commonwealth security frameworks and federal regulations
Collaborate with agency stakeholders to align architecture with business goals and citizen engagement needs - Provide technical guidance and solution oversight to development teams and project managers
- Define and promote data interoperability strategies while ensuring compliance with record retention and protection policies
- Research and recommend emerging technologies to improve service delivery and efficiency
Maintain architectural documentation, standards, and technology roadmaps - Support architecture governance by reviewing and validating solution designs
- Develop business capability models and ensure alignment with strategic and regulatory goals
- Influence across teams without direct authority as a trusted architectural advisor
Required Experience
Minimum Qualifications (one of the following):
- Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of professional IT experience
- 10 years of professional IT experience
Equivalent combination of experience and training
Must Have Experience In:
Application development and modernization- Enterprise reference architectures and technology standards
- API design and secure system integrations
- Cloud solution architecture (Azure preferred)
Developing and executing technology roadmaps aligned to business objectives - Translating complex technical concepts into actionable guidance for diverse stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
TOGAF 9.x, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Salesforce Certified Application Architect- Experience in state or federal government environments
- Familiarity with low-code platforms, especially Appian (case management, workflows, regulatory systems)
- Familiarity with Salesforce, geospatial systems, or regulatory data standards
