What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ambulette Driver position at S&S Medical Transportation Inc.?
We are looking for a driver to transport residents in a comfortable, safe, and timely manner to their appointments. Driver responsibilities include arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle, planning each route based on road and traffic conditions, and making sure you are running on time. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Responsibilities:
- Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the fastest route
- Pick up residents from the facility at the time they requested
- Ensure that the resident gets to and from their appointment in a safe and timely manner
Must Have:
- Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol test and a background check
- A valid driver's license
- A clean driving record
- Familiarity with GPS devices
- Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
- Ability to push residents in wheelchairs up van ramps
- Open availability Monday-Friday
- Must have access to a smart phone for schedule
- A polite and professional disposition
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. rush hour, weather, etc.)
