*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. *Duties* - Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. - Maintain patient records and ensure all documentation complies with HIPAA regulations. - Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. - Perform basic laboratory tasks, including taking impressions and preparing dental materials. - Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office. - Utilize dental software such as Dentrix or Epic for record keeping and appointment management. - Support pediatric dentistry practices by providing compassionate care to young patients. *Skills* - Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry. - Experience in dental assisting with knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques. - Familiarity with dental reception duties, including scheduling and managing patient inquiries. - Understanding of pediatric dentistry principles and practices. - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. - Ability to perform medical coding for insurance purposes is a plus. - Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
