Configuration Management Specialist, Journeyman
S2Technologies is currently sourcing for qualified candidates to join our team. We are currently looking for candidates who have training and experience performing as a Configuration Management Specialist with hardware, software, and integrated COTS systems experience to support Product Manager (PdM) Multi-Mission Surveillance Systems (M2S2) Project Office located in Building 6006 aboard Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Assists in the development, maintenance and implementation of CM process standards, plans, and procedures. Ensures changes to the process methods and processes are properly approved, communicated, and managed throughout the CM lifecycle.
- Prepare configuration documentation and maintain the Configuration Management (CM) database.
- Maintain data quality, integrity, and security of the CM database.
Attends all Program and Engineering reviews and CCBs.
- Ensures the proper baseline identification of configuration items, performs periodic audits, and provides verification of version release configuration items
- Collects and reports metrics as required
- Mentors the organization on Configuration Management services, concepts, policies, and procedures
- Provides guidance and assistance on all drawing reviews.
- Analyze configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions. Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Must have experience with Configuration Management software tools. Previous experience with Windchill is desired.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with experience working in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
Education:
Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of relevant Configuration Management experience. Eight years of relevant Configuration Management experience can be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Previous experience supporting Army or DoD Program Offices is desired.
Security Clearance:
- Must currently have an active and transferrable DoD security clearance.
