S3 is a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) which is an organization, owned by credit unions. We serve credit unions by supporting their operations and delivering world class service. We support the credit union members with their loans, deposits and other financial needs to achieve their goals.

As a Consumer Loan Processor, you will effectively provide prompt, accurate and pro-active member service while working with members and credit union staff to complete all processing activities for consumer loan applications. In all interactions you will strive to adhere to the agreed upon service level agreements between S3 and the partner credit unions while providing exceptional member service.

The Consumer Loan Processor is a mid-level position.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Review all assigned consumer loan applications received and ensure completion of all required data
  • Ensure all compliance disclosures have been generated accurately and delivered as required
  • Obtain and review all necessary documents from the member and any other applicable third parties that are required in order to meet Credit Union partner product/guidelines
  • Respond to all member inquiries and questions related to the transaction and keep them informed of the status of their loan throughout the entire process. This can be via outbound and inbound calls, emails and faxes
  • Work with outside vendors to order all required documents
  • Maintain service levels for all processing turn-times as set forth by management
  • Work in collaboration and partnership with other team members
  • Additional job related projects as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years of experience processing consumer loans preferred, or 1 years of experience in credit union or bank in the financial services area
  • 1 years of contact center experience preferred
  • Candidate must be highly organized and able to handle a fast paced environment while supporting high volume of inbound and outbound calls
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations with speed and accuracy
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary
  • Excellent customer service skills with strong attention to detail
  • Time Management skills and the ability to prioritize workload based on department SLA’s and member needs
  • Strong analytical skills required with a high degree of accuracy
  • Aptitude to work independently as well as part of a team and ability to collaborate with others
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented
  • Ability to function in an ever changing environment

Pay Range Commensurate with Experience with a range of $45,000- $50,000.

Work Environment- This position operates in a professional office environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filling cabinets and fax machines.

Emotional Effort- Occasional short deadlines. The work environment is occasionally hectic with periods of high stress.

Internal/External Interaction- Steady and ongoing with occasional periods of low volume.
