Overview

The Finance Analyst supports day-to-day financial operations across assigned clients, working closely with the Finance Manager, partners, cross-functional teams, and field offices. This role is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across media and production finance, client billing, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

The full time Finance Analyst oversees budgets, monitors revenue and expenses against forecasts, ensures accurate client billing, and prepares financial reporting and presentations. This is an excellent opportunity for an agency finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and takes ownership of outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, review, and approve media and production budgets, collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate accuracy and alignment with project forecasts
  • Manage media and production billing, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Work in Progress (WIP), and WIP transfers
  • Create client estimates, process client billing, and upload invoices into the Ariba platform for payment
  • Review client billing to ensure all charges are accurate; identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies
  • Assess that client revenue and expenses align with approved budgets and financial forecasts
  • Prepare, maintain, and review financial reports to support accurate billing, forecasting, and budget management
  • Create monthly budget summaries for client review and authorization
  • Conduct detailed monthly reviews of client expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets
  • Review and approve production jobs, client-billable purchase orders, billable expenses, and related financial documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Identify, monitor, and resolve overspent jobs and other financial discrepancies
  • Post client-billable fees within the media platform
  • Review signed MSAs and SOWs to ensure client fees are billed accurately and in accordance with contractual terms
  • Prepare financial presentation slides and supporting materials for monthly leadership or Board meetings
  • Collaborate daily with internal teams, partners, and field offices regarding budgets, vendor inquiries, financial reporting, and payment activity
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in agency finance or a similar client-facing finance role
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization abilities
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver results
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced to exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong skills in Microsoft Word
  • Experience with Mediaocean / Prisma platforms preferred

Compensation Range: $70,000 - $78,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
