Position is full time, non negotiable. Schedule: M-F 8:30a-5p at 8405 Beverly Blvd
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs direct nursing patient care including patient assessments/triage, immunizations and other nursing clinical duties that include assessment, and clinical management.
- Assists clinicians during examinations as needed.
- Assist with supervision of clinical nursing services including laboratory functions, clinical supervision of MAs.
- Collaborate with applicable parties to effectively manage patient and back-office flow throughout the clinic; take action as necessary to maintain smooth patient flow and informs clinicians regarding issues affecting the ability to deliver proper patient care.
- Participates in Covid-10 testing and vaccinations and other vaccination and infusion clinics.
- Provides feedback, mentors staff, and helps contribue to staff's professional development.
- Actively participates in MyChart messages for site and addresses clinical issues as per clinicians’ guidance.
- Oversees critical lab/imaging line/nursing pool and communicates with clinicians for guidance.
- Participates in both external and internal audits (Huddle audits, Lab audit, Health Plan audits, etc.)
- Ensures adherence to emergency procedures, codes and drills and infection control procedures.
- Manages inventory including Emergency Kit medication, in-clinic medications and medical supplies
- Works closely with the Operations Supervisor to help address and resolve patient grievances.
Position Requirements:
- 2-5 years clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, with a minimum of one year of experience in the clinical area assigned
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid, current CA Registered Nurse license to practice.
- Bilingual in another language such as Spanish, Russian, Korean or Armenian preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records required.
- Knowledge of direct outpatient care and prior experience in a clinic setting is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions sufficient to establish a safe work environment.
- Basic knowledge of local, state and federal regulations relating to care of patients in a clinic setting; and prior experience with county, state and federal programs such as CHDP, FPACT, EWC, Medi-Cal, Managed Care, and Title X is preferred.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel)
