Job Summary:
The Social Media Intern is responsible for producing and posting multimedia content to support the organization’s online objectives.
Program Period: June - August 2024
Key Responsibilities:
Create and share unique and compelling written, audio, and video content across Sacramento Kings, Stockton Kings, Kings Guard Gaming, and Golden 1 Center online channels.
Create Web art and imagery.
Cover practices, games, and events.
Assist in facilitating social stats, communication, and moderation.
Assist in developing social strategy.
Regularly work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of social media and multimedia production.
Proficient in writing stories, conducting interviews, and posting content online.
Adept in Photoshop and designing Web art.
Experience creating, editing, and posting videos online.
Active user of current social media platforms and emerging digital trends.
Team and detail oriented.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Highly organized and strong time-management skills.
Motivated to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-oriented workplace.
Knowledgeable about the Sacramento Kings, NBA, esports, entertainment, and pop culture.
To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:
Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months
Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office
Able to work 25 - 40 hours per week during the summer session
Interns will be compensated $16.00 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
