Sacred Circle Healthcare is seeking a full-time DENTIST for our Salt Lake Main clinic in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Job Summary

• Overview: Responsible for providing and managing oral health care for a specified patient population.
• Reports to: Dental Director
• Department: Dental

• Work Schedule: To Be Determined with the availability of 8:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
• Location: Salt Lake Main Clinic
• Supervisory responsibilities: None

The successful candidate:

• Provides and manages direct patient care, including oral examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.
• Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed oral health conditions.
• Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
• Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of dental assistants or dental staff.
• Trains and supervises dental students, dental assistants, or other dental staff.
• Keeps accurate patient records of history and activities regarding all treatment and medications.
• Keeps abreast of advancements in dentistry.
• Complies with all applicable state/federal laws, rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Participates in professional development activities.
• Maintains strict confidentiality.
• Must read and understand and adhere to all Sacred Circle Healthcare policies and procedures.
• Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Values statements.

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• EDUCATION: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD)
• EXPERIENCE: DDS or DMD with 3 to 5 years of directly related experience in oral health care to patients.
• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of care.
• Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patient in correct usage.
• Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
• Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems and objectives.
• Ability to use computer systems and applications.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
• Ability to plan and organize.
• Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.
• Ability to operate office equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, clinical and administrative staff, and the public.
• Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies and procedures.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
