Farmers Market Associate – Sacred Mushrooms (Boston, MA)

Sacred Mushrooms is a Boston-based biotech company rooted in holistic wellness and sustainability. We specialize in fresh, gourmet mushrooms and functional mushroom tinctures, cultivated at our urban farm in Hyde Park. We’re passionate about reconnecting people with the natural power of mushrooms—and we’re looking for someone equally passionate to join our team at local farmers markets!

Position Summary:

We’re hiring an energetic and reliable Farmers Market Associate to represent Sacred Mushrooms at farmers markets across Greater Boston. This is a customer-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with the community, educating customers about wellness, and working independently in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

Responsibilities:

• Transport materials to/from the market (requires valid driver’s license)
• Set up and break down booth (tent, tables, signage, display, etc.)
• Handle and display fresh mushrooms and tinctures with care
• Speak knowledgeably about our products and mission
• Process sales using mobile POS (Square)
• Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming booth
• Track inventory and sales data (training provided)

Requirements:

• Must be available weekends and some weekdays
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various conditions
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Friendly, punctual, dependable, and self-motivated
• Interest in mushrooms, wellness, or sustainable food a plus!
