Position Summary
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Medical Center. The employee shall support Saddleback Medical Center’s strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities.
The Imaging / Radiation Services RN is responsible for the coordination of the nursing and patient education function in Imaging and Radiation Services. The Imaging RN will assist with all interventional procedures performed in Imaging Services as appropriate. The Radiation Oncology RN is responsible for the coordination of the nursing and patient education function for Radiation Oncology. The RN will function in accordance with established standard of nursing practice. Nursing competencies will be evaluated by Nursing Administration. The RN works closely with the department management in order to assure optimal patient care and quality services.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
- Demonstrates the ability to utilize all electronic systems effectively and appropriately.
- Demonstrates the required technical knowledge to perform quality imaging for all diagnostic exams.and procedures while providing quality patient care and safety.
- Demonstrates and performs quality nursing practice and provide patient and family education appropriate to patients of all ages and conditions.
- Demonstrates RN support for all patient exams, obtains proper history, and documentation including pre and post procedure care.
- Demonstrates the ability to safely and competently provide care in emergency situations.
- Be at work and be on time.

- Interact in a positive and constructive manner.
- Prioritize and multitask.
- Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ acute care hospital experience or equivalent.
- Experience as an interventional nurse in Imaging Services or equivalent preferred.
- Experience as a nurse in Medical Oncology or Radiation Oncology preferred.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Current California RN license required
- Current BCLS card required
- Radiation Therapy Certification from Oncology Nursing Society (OCN), preferred.
Salary : $47 - $74
