Medication Technician / Caregiver

Job Summary
Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Medication Technician / Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in delivering personalized, high-quality care to residents in our assisted living residential home. Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications accurately following all safety protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure resident safety and confidentiality.
• Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to track health status and report changes promptly.
• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, dressing, mobility support, and personal hygiene to enhance their comfort and independence.
• Maintain detailed medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans and update medical records accurately.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a warm environment that promotes well-being and respect.

Requirements

• Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or home care environments is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration procedures.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
• Ability to perform tasks as a caregiver assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as dressing, bathing, toileting, light cooking, and housekeeping.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality of patient information.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
