Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications accurately following all safety protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure resident safety and confidentiality.
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to track health status and report changes promptly.
- Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, dressing, mobility support, and personal hygiene to enhance their comfort and independence.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans and update medical records accurately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a warm environment that promotes well-being and respect.
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or home care environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration procedures.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
- Ability to perform tasks as a caregiver assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as dressing, bathing, toileting, light cooking, and housekeeping.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality of patient information.
