This role primarily involves advising clients on tax consequences, risks, and opportunities related to various business entity structures and activities, as well as handling tax controversy matters.Key Responsibilities : Provide counsel on individual, partnership, and corporate tax aspects of complex commercial transactions.Structure mergers and acquisitions, business formations, and debt / equity financing.Advise on employee compensation, benefits, and draft related memoranda and documents.Address tax implications across various industries.Experience with affordable housing tax credits, sales and use tax, estate planning, and qualified plans is beneficial but not required.Qualifications : 20 years of experience in tax law, with a focus on business entity structuring and transactions.J.D. from an accredited institution.Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a portable practice (does not need to be self-sustaining).Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Proven ability to creatively solve complex problems.This is an opportunity to join a thriving tax practice.
