What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery & Pick Up Driver position at SafeTech?
Position Overview:
- This position requires someone who can drive a company vehicle multiple miles throughout our customer delivery area.
- Deliveries and pick-ups are generally done within the business day, but 1 day per week will require an extended work day driving.
- Some overtime hours are required depending on traffic and customer requirements.
- Day shift, 7-4, M-F, overtime required.

SafeTech USA operates across the USA through a network of regional support centers located in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Atlanta, Savannah, and Miami.
- Must have good driving record with no "at fault" accidents.
- Willing to drive long distance (out of state), more than 250 miles on occasion.
- Able to assist with loading customer products onto company vehicle.
- Upkeep on company vehicle.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Comfortable with transporting Hazmat equipment.
- Interested and able to drive three days each week, with variable hours depending on customer requirements.
- No CDL is required but must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must pass background check.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in the shop when not driving - may be in production, inventory or shipping & receiving as needed.
- The ability to read, write and comprehend the English language fluently
- Initiative to organize and complete projects in individual and group setting – a self-starter.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to pass random drug and alcohol tests (DOT).
- Ability to write legible and follow directions.
- Perform tasks in accordance with quality and regulatory requirements. Adhere to security and safety policies.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn. additional computer skills and software programs.
- Ability to enter data accurately into databases.
- Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Good eyesight and color vision, manual dexterity, and the ability to carry out complex, repetitive tasks quickly.
- Must be able to lift 75-100lbs.
- High school diploma or a general education degree (GED).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a driving/shipping and receiving position within an organization.
- Hazmat Certification preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 75 - 100 pounds at times.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Min 2 years of experience in a logistics driver or warehouse environment.
