Safety Management Group is seeking a Safety Advisor in Lynchburg, Virginia.
The key function of a Safety Advisor is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client's needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change.
Overview of Job Responsibilities:
- Providing onsite support and weekly observation of requested job sites, and documented weekly reports via the VERO Observation Platform
- Attend and plan meetings or progress meetings if requested
- Providing support for the implementation of the CSMP
- Oversee the safety program is consistently executed and implemented, ultimately contributing to a safer workplace environment
Requirements
- 5 years of previous Construction Safety experience
- Previous Healthcare Construction safety
- Previous contractor safety experience
- Proficient in MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Physical Demands of the job may include:
- Moving about long distances
- Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders
- Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period
- Working in extreme weather
- Being exposed to loud noises
- Wearing personal protective gear correctly
