Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Contract

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Contract Opportunity (Ongoing contract, 1099)

Client Facility Location: Lebanon, PA
Shift: 2:30pm-10:30pm

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED
2. Desire to work with individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities
3. Successful completion of Child Abuse, PA State Police, and FBI background checks DHS (within 5 years)

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to bend, lift, and stoop
2. Free from communicable diseases

Accountability:
Reports to RSM and/or Team Leaders

Working Hours:

• Full-time: 40 hours/week
• Part-time: 24 hours/week

Functions:

• Provide direct care for residents, including:
  • Assist with feeding, dressing, bathing, and oral hygiene
  • Whirlpool baths as needed
  • Assist with mobility, hair care, and shaving
  • Monitor and support self-care activities
  • Implement and document IPP programs (e.g., motor skills, sensory stimulation)
  • Provide perineal care and manage toileting programs
  • Assist with recreational activities and resident transportation
  • Observe and report physical condition changes to Charge Nurse

Miscellaneous Responsibilities:

1. Record/report progress on educational goals and seizure activity
2. Attend in-service training and program meetings
3. Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and specimen collection
4. Follow safety protocols and perform minor housekeeping tasks
5. Perform other duties as assigned
