Sage Specialty Hospital (LTAC) located in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking Unit Secretary/Telemetry Tech to join its team!
Shifts available:
- 6am-6pm
- 6pm-6am

Duties:
- Accurately interpret cardiac rhythm strips every 4 hours
- Report rhythm changes immediately to primary care nurse
- Operate speaker and phone system and complete emergency calls for staff
- Track monitored patients at all times
- Provides general administrative, clerical and support services to the clinical unit assigned
- Ensures optimal and safe patient care by supporting medical and nursing staff
- Keeps medical records and all patient care related documents secured and in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Greet visitors and direct them to patient rooms
- Performs receptionist duties
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
- Current BLS certification.
- Successful completion of Basic EKG Monitoring Course.
- Previous experience in rhythm interpretation, previous experience as a Telemetry Technician preferred.
- Knowledge of monitoring equipment.
