JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Report Writer leverages strong and tenacious investigative acumen required throughout the entire process for any incident which occurs on the property. Documents are created to accurately reflect the occurrence in a timely manner. Photographs are taken whenever possible and as soon as possible to preserve the integrity of the scene.
JOB FOCUS:
Focus is on, but not limited to the following:
- Responsible for generating reports for the following reasons:
o Criminal Activity, Arrests, Detentions, Evidence Processing
o Workmen's Compensation
o Guest/Patron Medical Concerns
o Human Resources/Employee Actions - Behaviors
o Hotel Property Damage & Destruction
o Risk Management
o Lost, Missing or Stolen Property Documentation
o Any incident or event whatsoever which could potentially expose the company to civil liability
- Completes Concentra runs for required probable cause and work related injury
- May be assigned Security Officer post assignments as needed by Management
- All other duties as assigned by Management
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Only current employees within the Security department can be considered for a position as a Report Writer; to be eligible to qualify you must meet the following criteria:
o Be employed within the Security or Nightlife Security team for a minimum of 30 days
o Have no active discipline within the past six months
o Must pass an in person interview for the position with Security Management and provide a written incident report to show ability to properly write an incident summary
- Working knowledge of the I-Trak report system, ability to upload photographs, PDF’s and scan in other media
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal forms
- A professional demeanor and attire is to be maintained at all times
- Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
- Must be able to perform in a team environment
- Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of staff and leadership
- Intermediate to proficient experience using computers and computer software such as Microsoft Office and Internet browsers
- Previous experience in a high-end luxury Gaming or Hospitality environment is desired
- Must have exceptional time management skills
- An intermediate to proficient understanding of Computer systems such as: Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook is preferred
- Proven ability to resolve guest conflicts with ease or determine if management is needed in certain guest situations
- A valid Nevada Gaming License and Alcohol Awareness Card are required and must be obtained before entering this position
- A valid NV Driver’s license is required and must be obtained before entering this position
- Must be 21 years of age or older
