About the Role
Saige Partners is partnering with a well-established organization in Austin, MN to hire a Network Engineer – Wireless & Switching. This role is responsible for architecting, managing, and supporting enterprise-wide wireless and switching environments across corporate, subsidiary, production, and warehouse locations. This is a critical, hands-on role supporting business-critical infrastructure. The level of the role will be determined based on experience and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and manage enterprise wireless and switching environments across multiple locations
- Administer and maintain business-critical network infrastructure supporting offices, production plants, and warehouse facilities
- Provide Level 3 support for complex wireless and switching issues
- Lead and manage medium to large network-related projects across the enterprise
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability and operational uptime
- Support scheduled after-hours work (nights, weekends, holidays) for upgrades and plant downtime windows as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or a related field OR 5 years of experience engineering, deploying, and supporting enterprise network communications systems
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure with advanced troubleshooting skills in wireless and switched networking
- Advanced hands-on experience with wireless and switching architecture and administration
- Proven initiative, technical innovation, and strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience managing and delivering network-related projects
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and collaboration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work off-hours in support of system upgrades and critical plant downtime windows
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer
