What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Controller position at Sails Restaurant?
An internationally renowned Sails Restaurant located in beautiful Naples Beach Florida, a city known for its clear blue waters, stunning beaches, and exceptional standard of living, is looking for a Junior Comptroller/Controller to join our exciting international team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Prepare US GAAP-based financial statements for month-end, quarter-end & year-end statements
• Responsible for the full accounting cycle, including financial accounting, cost accounting, AR, AP, revenue process, and treasury and tax tasks
• Eventually oversee HR, payroll, procurement, and inventory management
• Implement acquire/upgrade as necessary and implement accounting, inventory, finance, and procurement processes
• Oversee Full Suite payroll system for human resources and payroll
• Prepare short- and long-term FP&A (financial planning, capital planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and analyses for both restaurant operations and real estate holdings
• Analyze the financial performance of business units, and perform project financial analysis and financial modelling to determine sales breakeven points, revenue/costs, profitability, operating margins, and pricing
• Manage finances of 4 restaurants and real estate holdings including P&Ls, budgets, forecasting &financial performance
• Build, strengthen, and oversee financial controls that inform and support ownership in a fast-paced, fun, friendly, and professional environment
Requirements:
• Ability and willingness to grow and take on more future responsibility as the company continues to grow and diversify
• CPA preferred with a minimum of 3-5 years of accounting and or audit experience
• Fluent English Speaker
