Emergency Medicine NP/PA Adult-Peds Floater (Triage)

Saint Peter’s University Hospital is seeking a full time Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join its Adult and Pediatric Emergency Departments. This position will provide floating triage coverage Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM.

Saint Peter’s is bringing the Emergency Medicine service line fully in-house and actively expanding the Adult and Pediatric Emergency Departments. We are recruiting multiple providers to build a larger, high-quality, hospital-employed emergency medicine group.

Adult Emergency Department Opportunity Highlights

  • Approximately 45,000–50,000 annual adult ED visits
  • Adult patient population > 18 years old
  • High-acuity, diverse case mix
  • Collaborative, multidisciplinary care environment
  • Dedicated nocturnist positions available
  • Schedule: 10 hr shifts, 120 hrs/month/FT

Pediatric Emergency Department Opportunity Highlights

  • 25,000 annual pediatric ED visits (patients under 18)
  • Dedicated pediatric emergency services
  • Collaborative, multidisciplinary care environment
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 120 hrs/month/FT

Requirements:

Nurse Practitioners:

  • National board certification as Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) through ANCC or AANP required.
  • Current Advance Practice Nursing licensure in the State of New Jersey.
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of New Jersey.
  • Current CDS and DEA required
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing required
  • Two (2) years emergency medicine or acute care experience strongly preferred
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required (American Heart Association)

Physician Assistants:

  • National board certification by NCCPA required.
  • Current PA license in New Jersey.
  • Current CDS and DEA required.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required (American Heart Association)
  • Must qualify for Saint Peter's University Hospital Liability insurance
  • Two (2) years of emergency medicine experience strongly preferred                                                                                

Compensation: $139,680 annual salary

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
