Role Summary :
Saks Global adds thousands of new items to our website each week and the Sample Assistant owns the physical movement (physical items) through the pipeline. Following the lead of and partnering closely with the Product Supervisor, the Sample Assistant is responsible for the organization and inspection of owned products and tracking the shoot lifecycle of the product for each area of business. The Sample Assistant is also responsible for communicating with vendors, buyers, and fulfillment center counterparts, coordinating vendor sample and inventory returns, and supporting the Product Supervisor with daily priorities.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to track the physical movement of products throughout the studioSkilled at juggling multiple tasks and prioritizing efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentMust be willing to act with a sense of urgency to challenging work deadlines and SLAsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partnersA passion for product and always exceeding internal and external customer expectationsPrevious experience in an administrative role, preferably in a retail, operations, or e-commerce environment. BA / BS preferred but not requiredCompetent with Google Suite, Excel, and MS WordTeam player with self-confidence, assertiveness, and personal motivationPositive attitude and ability to manage the repetitive nature of the roleMust be able to lift boxes (20 pounds) and pack / unpack productsRole Description :
Responsible for the physical organization of the Sample Management space including organizing samples by category, turn-in schedule, and priorityManage sample logistics that include but are not limited to maintaining an accurate tracker of all incoming and outgoing samples and owned merchandise while cross referencing multiple checkpointsPacking, unpacking, sending back to the vendor / fulfillment center, tracking
Input data into product management system as neededCheck the accuracy and quality of products; track and report issues to Product Supervisors / ManagerPrepare product for daily turn-in to the studio teams (e.g. organize, tag)Assist Product Supervisor, Sr. Product Supervisor, & Manager with projects, process updates and support Product Supervisors as needed (take physical copy attributes off of products)Support where necessary in all areas of businessWork as an integral part of a talented team in a fast-paced, proactive environment with a collegial / partnership approachYour Life and Career at Saks Global :
