Job Summary:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment responsible for designing building systems and producing construction documentation for institutional projects in the higher education, government and institutional facility markets. We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to be part of our team as we continue with our strong growth.
General Duties:
- Design HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, air handling units, ductwork, piping and controls.
- Develop mechanical system design calculations.
- Prepare detailed design documents in REVIT.
- Perform QA/QC design work.
- Lead a project team and managing projects.
- Coordinate with Owners and Architects.
- Coordinate work with other disciplines.
- Complete code compliance research.
- Oversee and provide guidance to junior engineers.
- Assist in the procurement of new work; including the development of client relations.
Skills:
- Excellent work ethic and attitude.
- Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance and prioritize work.
- Ability to lead a team as well as work as part of a team.
- You have experience with complex institutional projects.
- You are familiar with codes, standards and design guidelines.
- Proficient in Revit and MS Office.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years design experience as a registered engineer.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Possess a Professional Engineer license, PE.
- LEED experience, certification a plus.
