In this role, you will utilize your excellent customer care skills and communication abilities to facilitate understanding between medical staff, patients and their families. This position is open to applicants currently registered as Qualified or Certified in the Oregon Health Authority's Health Care Interpreter Program. Background/Expertise:High School Diploma or Equivalent required.Currently certified or qualified through Oregon Health Authority (OHA.) Required to complete all necessary education and processes to maintain certification.Formal two (2) years interpreting experience required or the completion of a state approved health care interpreter training course. Must be fluent in both working languages.Health care experience desirable, particularly medical terminology.Some assignments require current Oregon driver's license, dependable automobile and current personal auto insurance coverage.To perform essential duties of this role, candidate must be able to hear, speak audibly and walk, with or without reasonable accommodations.
