The Area Manager will be responsible for driving performance improvements, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations across four Salem's Fresh Eats locations.
- Ensure each location adheres to company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess performance and implement improvements.
- Monitor product quality and consistency at all locations.
- Implement and maintain quality control systems.
- Address any quality issues promptly and effectively.
- Recruit, train, and supervise location managers and staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching for improvement.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure each location delivers exceptional customer service.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and feedback.
- Implement customer service training programs for staff.
- Manage budgets and financial performance for each location.
- Monitor sales and expenses, implementing cost-saving measures where necessary.
- Ensure financial targets are met or exceeded.
- Ensure all locations comply with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular health and safety audits.
- Address any health and safety issues promptly.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and services.
- Monitor and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Implement systems to track and report on deliverables.
- Analyze performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement action plans to drive performance improvements.
- Report on performance to senior management.
- Proven experience as an Area Manager or similar role, preferably in the food service industry.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth understanding of quality control procedures.
- Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role within the food service industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple locations.
- This role requires travel between multiple locations.
- Flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
