We are looking for a driven Cashier to assist customers with in-store check-out process. The main responsibility they will have include ringing up sales, honouring coupons and giving appropriate change. The goal is to provide top notch customer service and to increase the company’s growth and revenue through sales maximisation.
Responsibilities
- Count contents of cash in register drawer at the end of the shiftÂ
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
- Maintain a fully stocked store
- handle cash, credit or check transactions with customers
- Recommend and display items that match customer needs
- Make sales referrals, cross-sell products, and introduce new ones
- Process returns and check to see if items are damaged
- Keep up to date with product information
- Accurately describe product features and benefits
- Follow all companies policies and procedures
Requirements
- Proven working experience in customer facing roles
- Basic math
- Proficiency in English
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable and efficient
- Friendly, helpful individual who loves meeting new peopleÂ
- Administration skills
- High school degree
Previous sales background is beneficial but not essentialÂ
