What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher/ Communications Personnel position at Saline County, Missouri?
The Saline County Sheriff's Dept. is seeking to fill one full-time and one part-time position in the Communications Division. Please indicate which position you are interested in. The full-time position is expected to maintain 40 hours per week and is eligible for full benefits. The part-time position is not eligible for benefits.
Duties include but not limited to:
- answering all incoming telephone and radio calls;
-dispatching county or appropriate agencies to emergencies;
-monitor and allow ingress/egress of exterior doors in secure area of building;
-monitor patrol vehicles via GPS;
-monitor and supervise inmate visitation;
-MULES terminal operation and entry of warrants, missing persons, lost or stolen vehicles and property with periodic verification of those entries;
-bonding procedures;
-video monitor rural schools;
-assist in monitoring secure areas in jail;
-assisting citizens at front window and directing them as necessary;
-other duties as necessary or required. Shifts vary and could require overnights, holidays, weekends, evenings, or days.
