Looking for an exciting new opportunity in the beauty industry? You're in luck! Salon Service Group is currently hiring for both a Full Time and Part Time Store Associate at our Des Moines, IA store location!

Salon Service Group, founded over 32 years ago, is the nation's largest privately-owned professional beauty distributor. SSG proudly partners with the Professional Beauty Industry exclusively, through salons, spas and stylists. We have conveniently located, professionally exclusive wholesale stores representing our independently owned, high-end professional portfolio of haircare brands across SSG territories. We are committed to excellent service, quality products and most importantly, we build strong lifelong partnerships with our customers. Our highest priority is to provide our customers with the tools and support that they need for success.
Our Part Time associates work up to 28 hours per week and our Full Time associates work up to 40 hours per week. Our stores are open Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5pm and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays. Candidates must have open availability during these times.
Working for SSG will provide you with:

This position is responsible for providing EXCELLENT customer service - ensuring the customer is always top priority.
In this role, you will:
- Perform day to day operations of a retail store including inventory management, cash management, and general retail store functions.
- Ensure that each guest receives outstanding customer service by providing a guest friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
- Maintain a high standard of merchandising, placement, store signage, store housekeeping, and proper display techniques
- Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash
Requirements
Successful Store Associates will have a superior customer service attitude, excellent reliability, and a pleasant personality and professional appearance.
Candidates must have:
- Excellent Customer service, communication and organization skills
- Store merchandise experience
- Background in the beauty industry preferred
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Thrive in a fast paced work place
- Interpersonal skills to build and maintain customer relationships
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and Saturdays if needed
