The Position
This position exists to achieve business results and assume duties of the Local Company President/Manager. Results are achieved through effective general management of the company, effective utilization of company assets and people, development of personnel, ongoing customer identification and development to increase sales, meet profit goals and attain ROI objectives. Incumbent maintains a close working relationship with the local company president and keeps the board informed of major business issues, seeking advice and guidance when appropriate.
Key Position Details
● Assist with preparation of an annual business plan for the company that includes objectives for revenue, profit and ROI as well as action plans to achieve these objectives.
● Maximize the potential of the existing customer base by increasing sales per customer, leveraging all margin improvement opportunities and implementing effective customer retention plans.
● Expand customer base by identifying new prospective customers and developing them into repeat customers.
● Add to company sales capability by hiring, training and managing high performing sales personnel in conjunction with the President.
● Develop and maintain a product line strategy that meets current customer needs and contributes to positive trends in sales and gross margin -- seek additional product lines that will increase sales and profit.
● Establish strong relationships with vendors and work with them to develop marketing and sales incentive plans.
● Purchase goods for resale at prices and terms that are competitive and profitable.
● Work with Sourcing Services to achieve maximum price and availability advantage.
● Manage inventory levels to ensure balance between ability to meet customer needs and excessive inventory levels.
● Organize warehouse facilities and activities to ensure efficient operation. ● Hire, train and supervise (either directly or through subordinate manager/supervisor) warehouse and delivery staff.
● Minimize risk exposure by maintaining a safe work environment, develop and implement safety rules, create a safety committee, provide personal protective equipment as needed, monitor the safety practices of all employees --especially those who operate vehicles (trucks, forklifts, etc.)
● Ensure adequate safeguards against fraud and theft; take prompt action whenever a fraud or theft situation arises; consult with Winsupply Group Services to receive assistance in this area.
● Monitor the financial performance of the company; achieve financial objectives and desirable ratio performance in conjunction with President
● Establish and enforce credit policies to minimize bad debt expense and maximize cash flow to the company.
● Promote a positive work environment for employees to ensure equal treatment for all and provide an environment that is compliant with the letter and spirit of all employment/anti-discrimination laws and regulations.
● In conjunction with President/Manager provide leadership and direction to employees of the company; ensure compliance with policies and work rules; take timely and appropriate steps to correct behavior and performance problems.

Qualifications/Experience
● High School Diploma or equivalent
● Win Company experience that includes management of a function or of people OR outside sales and account management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office

● Basic computer skills
- 3-5 Years of Process Management Experience
- 3-5 Years of People Management Experience
Desired Qualifications/Experience
● Associate’s degree in Business or related subject; Bachelor’s degree preferred ● 2 years general management experience, preferably in the wholesale distribution environment, with profit and loss accountability
● 2 years demonstrated successful outside sales experience, preferably in the building or industrial products area
● Prior Win company experience
● Ability to comprehend and interpret complex financial reports and data ● Ability to manage existing customer accounts and develop new accounts
● Strong computer skills and demonstrated ability to apply computer technology to business processes; working knowledge of the WISE system preferred
