Graphic Designer

Job Type: Full-time Graphic Designer

We’re looking for a friendly, creative graphic designer with knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and a desire to learn about large-format design and printing as it pertains to creating signs and vehicle graphics.

A “Day in the Life”

• Design multiple projects either from scratch or by revising layouts from prior projects based on a client’s current need.
• Communicate via email and/or phone to the client regarding proof approval. (Realize that each interaction with a client is an opportunity to get to know them and build a relationship and that each communication they receive from you has a direct impact on their opinion of our business.)
• Produce simple sign layouts, custom signs for more complex projects, vehicle wraps that catch the eye, interior murals, and branding displays.
• In the event there is “downtime” in design, you would assist in other areas of the shop as needed (making signs, weeding graphics, helping with installation, etc).

What you need in order to be selected for this job:

• Excellent communication, spelling, and math skills.
• Have a neat and professional appearance, business casual attire is required.
• Friendly, team player attitude.
• Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills.
• Experience in the sign industry is a bonus but NOT required.
• Be open to receive feedback on your performance and how we can best serve our client.
• Willingness to learn multiple skills in our shop in order to meet the needs of our clients (we will train you on how to assist in sign-making and installation) and must be able to lift at least 35 pounds.
• Must be able to climb a ladder.
• Be able to read a ruler to the 16th of an inch, and have a good understanding of the metric system.
• Be self-disciplined and deadline-driven.
• Pass a drug test and criminal background check.

This is a full-time position, 8 am – 5 pm, Monday - Friday with opportunities for overtime. We offer competitive compensation and 8 paid holidays per year.

***We all work together to meet the needs of our clients so sometimes that means that if there is no design work to be done, you will be running the printer, making a sign, or helping install a sign/vehicle wrap. We cross-train everyone not only to insure that we have a highly effective team and can deliver exceptional service and a superior product to our customers but also so that we can help each other!

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Graphic design: 1 year (Preferred)
• Adobe Creative Suite: 1 year (Preferred)
• Adobe Illustrator: 1 year (Preferred)
