Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Tennis Director the Tennis Teaching Professional will provide quality lessons, clinics and assist with tournament play. The incumbent will assist with Kroc Tennis teams in helping them achieve their playing levels.
Responsibilities
Conduct lessons and clinics with members and guests. Assist Teaching Pros in Junior Clinics. Incorporate safe work practices while instructing. Promote and sell Kroc Center Tennis memberships and products including lessons, court time and equipment. Assist maintenance staff in proper care of tennis courts; alerting maintenance staff immediately of any problems with the courts. Assist Tennis Director in planning and promoting tennis events, clinics and tournaments at the Kroc Tennis Center. Enforce all Kroc Tennis Center rules and regulations governing the use of the facility, its equipment and other Kroc property.
Minimum Qualifications Required
High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Minimum NTRO rating 4.5
Preferred College Tennis playing experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of tennis regulations and protocols
Mental and Physical Abilities
Ability to meet attendance requirements
Ability to maintain a positive, professional demeanor on the courts
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language
Must be able to lift, maneuver and squat a "Medium" level of dead weight , in excess of 50lbs, for up to 20% of a scheduled work shift.
Ability to stand and move quickly on tennis courts for an extended period of time.
