As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Collect patient information, update medical records, and verify insurance coverage
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and schedule follow-up appointments as needed
- Assist with billing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient flow
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a dental or medical office setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical administrative support functions and procedures
- Familiarity with dental terminology and ability to accurately transcribe information
- Proficiency in using office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
